B'awwwww~

I hate foreshadowing!

Anyhow, nearly 7 weeks of hard work... Doesn't look like it, huh? Probably didn't work hard enough. :3

Essentially, I became obsessed with the lines. I redrew panels over and over again, so I guess that where all that time went. Needless to say, this should have been completely colored and refined.

And, ahh, poor Alex and Tino. I am sorry, ~greymattre. I really liked your characters and to treat them as so is... ahh! But if I win, well, you will all see. Yes.

While your art lacks backgrounds in many cases, your storytelling skills are still superb. I think that the way you handle the universe is, intellectually, far above most of the other artists. My fear is that just how sophisticated your vision of The Spire is might not catch on with the community that has built around it.

There are so many things you did right here. You didn't shy away from the idea of killing your opponent's characters, yet at the same time you treated them with more respect than the majority of the NON-fatal entries I've seen. You used flashbacks to convey why, realistically, mercy could never be allowed in The Spire.

The only problem is the overall lack of polish, which makes your work seem unprofessional when it is anything but. If you can manage to smooth out the edges in future matches (assuming you pass) then you'll definitely be one the of the strongest contenders in the tournament.

I really like the way you handled your entry. On the story part your dialogue was great and gave a lot of insight to the culture of the Spire itself. Good job :)

Wow, the amount of work in every single page is monstrous. You put so much detail into just about every panel, and the result really shows! These are great! Keep it up!=D

I know how you feel about the lines, I tend to obsess over them too >_> But this was great and I was really impressed by your renderings, art and story-wise, of Alex and Tino. They felt really in character.

Ahh thanks Aquamantor for such a thoughtful comment and critique! c:

I find it flattering that you think that way about how I handle the Spire. It means I did something right. But keep in mind that Enkay is very much different from the others, in the respect that she's been on the ship for all her life as far as we know. Telling Enkay's story is basically telling the Spire's, more or less. Naturally, there will be some elements that won't catch on.

And I do understand about the overall lack of polish, and how it makes it seem unprofessional. Frankly, I ran out of time. Why I ran out of time, is mostly my fault. I will try my best to manage my time in (possible) future matches. And hopefully by doing so, I'll give it that level of polish.

I'm glad you think so. Thanks. c:

Yay! I'm really glad it shows. It was a monstrous task, as incomplete as it is. Thanks for the encouragement. :aww:
